The DensiMAX™ Bulk Filling Stations from Erie Technical Systems fill, vibrate and weigh bulk bags, FIBC's, IBC's, bulk boxes, bulk totes or bulk drums. The DensiMAX™ Bulk Bag Filling Station is a semi-automated Bulk Filling Station that features PLC control. The level of automation for the bulk filling system will be dependent on the options selected when specifying the machine. When filling FIBC's, IBC's, bulk boxes, bulk totes or other types of bulk containers this system uses information from the scale to control many of the features of the machine so it sequentially functions thus cutting the fill time per container. This heavy-duty system is designed and built with the plant atmosphere in mind and will last a long time. The available options have been developed and offered based on our many years of experience in the bulk filling industry. We are confident that the Erie Technical Systems FIBC/bulk bag filling machine is the best on the market today, offering great value and durability.
DensiMAXTM Bulk Filling weigh option incorporates a 4 NTEP approved load cell scale system which all of the structure above leveling base of the fill station is being weighed. By weighing all of the fill station structure we are able to fill, densify, and weigh simultaneously. The scale system is typically a 9,000 LB capacity (and this depends on the container weight). The accuracy of the scale system is 1/10 of 1% of scale capacity.
The grid type densification table for DensiMAX™ Bulk Filling System is designed to operate with a roller conveyor at the fill station. The vibrating surface is made up of a series of grids that pass between the rollers on the conveyor using the air mounts. The grids lift the pallet or container off of the rolls isolating it while the eccentric motors create the densification forces. Upon completion of the filling cycle the air mounts deflate and the pallet or container is again resting on the roller conveyor so it can be indexed off the station.
The flat type densification table is designed to operate independently and is loaded and emptied using a forklift. The deck can either remain inflated or can be actuated as necessary isolating it and the eccentric motors create the densification forces.
DensiMAX™ Bulk Filling System Spout with Bladder Option for FIBC Filling is standard for most filling applications. It has a dual diameter fill spout in which the inner diameter is used as a product fill path and the outer diameter is used to hold the fill spout. The annular space created between the inner diameter and the outer diameter is used as the path for the dust removal. On the outside of the outer diameter there is an inflatable bladder (which is covered by a rubber sleeve) that will inflate after the bag spout has been slid over the fill spout.
This option is used when a bag being filled does not have a fill spout or for boxes or bags with liners. The seal surface is formed by a round ring that is attached to the fill spout and creates a fixed surface for the inflatable bladder to seal against when using a non-spouted bag. The opening of the bag is bunched and fed between the outside of the inflatable bladder and pinch ring. The actuation of the cylinders is by an electric solenoid which is activated using a selector switch through a PLC output. The push button operator is located in the fill area convenient to the operator. The construction of the fill spout uses a dual diameter in which the inner diameter is used as a product fill path and the outer diameter is used to hold the fill spout. The annular space created between the inner diameter and the outer diameter is used as the path for dust removal.
This option is used to securely contain the bag hanging straps. The simple design makes it easy to maintain. The custom designed hooks can support the fully loaded bag until you want to release it. It will release the bag under fully loaded conditions.
This allows the (2) two rear hook assemblies to index forward which gives the operator easier access to the hooks for hanging a bag. This is done using (2) two rodless pneumatic cylinders.
This allows for the fill spout, which is the component of the fill station that holds the bag spout, to index forward toward the operator which gives them easier access to preparing the bag to be filled.
This option for DensiMAX™ Bulk Filling System is used when you want to have dust collection attached to the system while also performing the bag inflation, or to isolate the bag filling spout from the dust collection or blower system.
This incorporates the use of a multi-position pneumatically operated orifice gate valve which allows the system to control the amount of material flowing to the fill station. It is used in conjunction with the PLC control system and the scale to operate it to achieve maximum accuracy.
It should be noted that the valve must be mounted to the feed system above the fill station it cannot be attached to the fill station because it will create weight inaccuracies.
This incorporates the use of a large bore pneumatic cylinder mounted on the back of the machine which lifts and lowers the glide arm frame (the bag hanging frame). It is typically used when there are multiple container sizes being filled on a single machine. An Air over Oil system is available for precision operation as is needed when using the shotpin option.
This option allows the operator to automatically adjust the height of the fill head without the need to remove and then reinstall the positive pin stops.
We offer several different styles of roller conveyors to meet your specific needs. The standard is a chain driven live roller however we can custom design a conveyance method if required.
Uses a venture and customer supplied plant air or inert gas to inflate the bulk bag or bag liner.
Blower is used pre-inflate the bag prior to starting the filling process. By inflating the bag is will have pre-formed itself and eliminated any creases that may be in the bag. Also if the bag has a liner it will form the liner to the bag.
